Went ice skating with some friends Saturday night, and there was about 20 guys there who seemed to be from an all guys boarding school.  Quite a few of them were VERY easy on the eyes ;).  So, about halfway through, they seemed to be congregating in the centre of the rink talking in a sort of huddle.  We didn't really think much of it at the time.  A few minutes later, they disappeared off the ice, and went somewhere.  We thought they'd left.  BUT... about 10 minutes later, 14 of them emerged from the male bathrooms and headed straight onto the ice,
WEARING NOTHING BUT THEIR UNDERWEAR!!!
I don't think I've ever been as stunned in my life!  It was hilarious!  We were all just standing there staring, laughing, and applauding while they skated around, and then made a train as they continued around the rink.  It was about even with the boxers bs breifs, but some of them certainly had some hot bodies!  They looked about 17 or 18 I'd say.  Anyway, they skated around quite a few times before someone said over the loudspeaker, "Okay boys, sorry to spoil your fun, but you're going to have to GET OFF THE ICE."  Of course us girls were all applauding, and very amazed to see how well their supervising teachers were taking it.  One of them even had a camera out and was taking pictures!  So, they left the rink, and walked right past where we were standing watching on the edge of the rink.  Then they went to get dressed and left.

When the mother of one of my friends came to pick us all up, we drove past where they were all waiting at the bus stop.  So, we rolled down the windows and shouted out,  "SEXY SHOW BOYS!!!"  (we couldn't resist!)  Then we looked out the back window of the car, and they were all waving and pumping their fists in the air!  Oh, that was a great evening!

SHIT!!!

The glass in the bottom of our really giant fish tank cracked and broke, and all the water came gushing out everywhere! The entire bottom floor of the house is flooded! In some places my toes are almost completely underwater! The water's soaking into everything! We were all armed with buckets and towels as soon as we saw what'd happened, but it did no good. The water's everywhere! It's soaked the bottoms of my jeans completely, and is leaking under doors into carpeted rooms. The powerboard in the cupboard beneath the tank is literally drenched as it was under the crack, and we're lucky it didn't cause a short. We've got towels everywhere trying to stop the water spreading any further, but I think it's a bit late.
AAAAARGH!!!!!

Well, the result is in. On the physics test, I got 77.38%. Not that good. Teacher said I made some careless mistakes and completely missed the point on a few questions. Oh well, I think I got about the 6th highest mark in the class anyway. Considering it's the advanced class, and the 3rd highest mark was 79.76%, I guess I can live with that. I'll just have to make sure I study more next time and read everything through more carefully.

As for the simultaneous equations test in maths, we didn't end up getting our results back today as planned. We'll have to wait until next term. Now that one I am confident about getting a great mark on.

I think everyone has heard of Steve Irwin. The Crocodile Hunter, that guy with the crazy blonde hair who says "Crikey!" - whatever you've heard, you know who I mean. I found out earlier today that he has passed away. He was killed by a Stingray. From what I've heard, it stabbed him through the heart with the spike type thing on it's back. This news brings me great sadness, as he has done so much for the animal world. Whether he was saving animals, or simply educating the public about the conservation of animals, he has always been a great part of what people remember about Australia. His kindness and sense of adventure will not be forgotten. I think I always knew that it would end something like this, it's just such a shock that it's actually happened. I grew up watching The Crocodile Hunter on TV when I was little, and it just seemed like he'd be around forever. But he won't be - he isn't. I'd just like to acnowledge how much he meant to all the animals and all the people, and how even though he's gone, he will always be remembered. Many animals owe their lives to him, and hopefully, his work in teaching the importance of helping animals, will have a lasting effect in making the world a better place. Steve Irwin - A true Australian, and a man who really cared.

Did absolutely fantastic at Illawarra Championships over the weekend before last!
I got:
1st place in B Grade singles (I averaged a 175 over all the games)
2nd place in B Grade all events
3rd place in A Grade trios
3rd Place in A Grade doubles

And in the Restricted Masters on the final day, I was supposed to be in B grade, but I got moved into A Grade along with a few other people, and...
I CAME SECOND!!!
I got a trophy and $40!

And over the weekend just gone, there was the first day of roll-offs. After the 3 days, the top 7 people get in the team. I'm currently coming fourth!!!

I'm going to be really busy over the next few weeks. There's the President Shield Team roll offs, which is basically a fancy name for saying the state representative team try outs. I'm hoping to make the girls team. If I get in, I get to go to Melbourne for 2 weeks in April next year, along with a bunch of other Australia wide comps.

Then, the week after that finishes, there's the Canberra City Championships. That's kinda like what I did this weekend, except I don't have to travel. I'm really looking forward to it.

(yes I did write most of this over a week ago, but I couldn't get a picture of my trophy onto the computer, and then I forget about it, and I figure I might as well post this now before too much time has passed)

Tomorrow morning I leave at some unearthly hour of the morning to go to Wollongong for the Illawarra Championships (tenpin bowling).   I'll be there until Sunday night.

It's gonna be awesome fun, and I'm hoping to do quite well as I've been put in Restricted Cup, rather than Open or Classic. My average has gone up over 10 pins in the last 2 months, which is fantastic.   I think I've got a pretty good chance of placing in most of my events.  I'll be bowling more than 20 games over the course of the weekend, so I'll be really sore once I get home.

Now, you'll never guess where the bowling centre is actually located. Albion Park! Now is that a coincidence or what? A Doctor Who reference has to be good luck!

On another note, does anyone know if when your account expires, do you lose all your userpics and everything straight away?  Or does it wait a while?  Because mine will be expiring while I'm away and I won't be able to pay for some more time until after I get back, and I'd like to know whether I should be prepared to have to reupload everything and redo my layout and all that all over again, because it's reverted to it's original state or something of the like.

Went driving again today. Got to go around a lot more of Canberra, and I think I'm getting much better at changing gears. I can now do 3rd to 2nd smoothly, and I can go from 5th to 4th without having a panic attack that I might accidentally end up in reverse. I can do traffic lights and roundabouts well, and I saw at least 5 other learner drivers while we were out. I had a bit of a silly moment after we kept seeing them, so I decided to follow one of them. Ended up in a large empty carpark at a nearby school, and there was another learner there already. Quite amusing really. Must be learner driver day or something. We're everywhere!
Anyway, I'm doing really well and I'm not as nervous in traffic as I was before. I can do 3 point turns, I've driven on a gravel road, I've parked straight in a parking space (without any cars around so far), I've driven at 90km/h, I can change lanes, and I can reverse. All in all, I'm really happy with how I'm going.
